As a member of Negros Bloggers based in Bacolod City, I take pride that our group is the host of the Philippine Blogs Awards – Visayas on November 12, 2011. 
Venue of the Philippine Blog Awards – Visayas is Silay City, Negros Occidental, to be held at the Dr. Jose C. Locsin Cultural and Civic Center.
The Dr. Jose C. Locsin Cultural and Civic Center is the first cultural center in the Philippines, and is older than the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) in Manila.
Silay City is the seat of arts, culture and eco-tourism in Western Visayas. The Department of Tourism identified Silay as one of the 25 major tourist destinations in the Philippines.
The Philippine Blog Awards-Visayas is also sponsored by the City Government of Silay and other companies like AirPhil Express, Smart Communications and Nokia.
