I agree with this. Even though I’m only a student, I created, and almost took off with a business plan this summer. An entrepreneur needs to be ready to adjust, needs to have confidence, and needs to be ready to get back up after getting pushed down. It fascinates how most entrepreneurs get rejected after their first proposal, but continually go back with improvements until they get the green light.

Entrecard is, in fact, a free service. The usage of the widget for placing ads is NOT a monetary charge. The $50 fee is NOT a mandatory fee.

You must have posted at the same moment that Andrew was in the forums. He does visit and read every day.

If you find an entrepreneur you’d better send them over to Entrecard real quick !

Thanks for your question on their Forum. I was banned within 90 seconds of posting an item which informed them that running paid ads describing Entrecard as “100% free” was incorrect because of either 15% of a blogger’s ad time being taken away, or a charge of $50. To make such a claim would actually contravene UK law – the “Trades Description Act 1987″, to be precise. As soon as I posted – banned ! Their paranoia seems to get worse.

Haha! I think the title of your post should be ‘Qualities of the Ideal Entrepreneur!’

I’ve known some of these people, even been one myself to a limited degree, and whilst the (very) sucessful ones do indeed have the qualities mentioned, in varying degrees no doubt, there are a lot more who fail to meet such lofty standards.

One area that may be an issue is the general public image of the Entrepreneur. Most only think of the famous people, the ones who’ve ‘made it’. In reality most entrepreneurs are far more down to earth, and may lack the vision really needed, as well as the basic busines acumen required to suceed!

I think the list above needs to be added to. Mainly it should say the E’ needs to undersand how businesses work, and have the ability to function properly in whatever area they wish to engage in.

Many do of course! The ones you don’t hear of though…

Very good article. I was enlightened by the qualities of an entrepreneur. I have been dreaming of becoming an entrepreneur since I was a child. Hopefully I can fulfill it later, when I saved enough money to go on my own. As of now, have to be employed to survive and earn my keep. Thanks for sharing your ideas. Worth visiting your site always. Am not a blogger, but likes to visit good blogs to read.
