Psalm 23 for the Work Place

A friend shared with me this wonderful “psalm 23 for the workplace” by an unknown author.  I’m sharing it with you as a source of inspiration, encouragement, and positive motivation in your place of business or in your workplace. Here it is:

The Lord is my real boss, and I shall not want.
He gives me peace, when chaos is all around me.
He gently reminds me to pray and do all things without murmuring
and complaining.

He reminds me that He is my source and not my job.
He restores my sanity everyday and guides my decisions
that I might honor Him in all that I do.

Even though I face absurd amounts of e-mails, system crashes,
unrealistic deadlines, budget cutbacks, gossiping
co-workers, discriminating supervisors and an aging body
that doesn’t cooperate every morning, I still will not stop—
for He is with me!

His presence, His peace, and His power
will see me through.

He raises me up, even when they fail to promote me.
He claims me as His own, even when the company threatens
to let me go. His Faithfulness and love is better than any bonus
check.

His retirement plan beats every 401k there is!
When it’s all said and done, I’ll be working for Him a whole lot
longer and for that,

I bless His name.

  1. Excellent- thanks for a reminder of how to face each day!

  2. I love this, Eli. Sure could have used that during my 30 years with my old company, but many things I can glean from it for my daily living now.

  3. I’M TRULY BLESSED.

I would be printing a copy of this “Psalm 23 for the Work Place” and bring it with me every time I go to work. :D

All of us should remind ourselves that our primarily goal in the work place is to please the Lord and not to please our boss or colleagues. If we take heed of what the Almighty says, everything that we wish for will simply follow. How wonderful it would be on that day when God will tell you, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”- Matthew 25:23 (NIV).

A blessed Sunday to you and your family Eli! ^_^

  4. Truly inspiring, Atty. In the daily rush, we often tend to forget our reason for existence. Articles such as this is a good reminder to keep ourselves grounded.

May you and your family have a blessed week ahead!

  5. Very inspiring Atty. Eli, thanks
